Somewhere In Time offers the closest year round lodging to Kerr Dam at Kerr Lake/Buggs Island.
Kerr Lake is one of the largest lakes in the southeast and includes over 850 miles of shoreline in two states. Kerr Lake covers over 50,000 acres and is noted for its bass, crappie, and blue gill fishing, hosting several fishing tournaments yearly. Electrical hook-ups are available to charge your boat batteries. Recreation areas near Somewhere in Time offer picnicking, swimming, boating and hiking. Linda is an avid gardener, and would like to share her gardens with you. Butterfly and hummingbird gardens surround the inn and attract many winged visitors daily. Fireflies, deer and other wildlife will entertain you at dusk. You may occasionally see a bald eagle, osprey or heron as well as many other species of wild birds and hawks. Bird watching sites are located nearby at North Bend Park. Also nearby is MacCallum More Gardens and Museum in Chase City, VA containing historical exhibits featuring gardens and the history of the Occoneechee Indians.
